Just sitting here realizing … is the fediverse going to make me smarter?

I’ve been here a few weeks and instead of watching outrage content that makes me pace around my house, I’ve been listening to podcasts on morality and rationality and taking sci-fi (emphasis on SCI) space tours made by NASA.

Anyways thanks for posting this. New to me!

Lemmy is currently overrepresented by more tech inclined peoples who I suppose have less interest in that sort of thing. You can’t scroll very far without something to do with programming or Linux, but honestly I’m not complaining.

      Short answer: yes

Longer answer: anything that gets you out of your comfort zone will expand your box of interests. Choose wisely your time.

@CoderKat where did you get your canvas printed?

Edit: Is there a way to mention users like on Reddit?

I personally just used Walmart’s photo center, simply because it was cheapest and they had a convenience online tool and delivered to my door. But for the canvas prints, I had to make minor edits to stretch the edges, since the canvas has wrap around (and I didn’t want a plain white edge). That’s not an issue if not using a canvas format.

You might be able to get higher quality from other printers, though at a higher price. I did try some other possible printer that would have avoided the need to edit the images (they had a mirror option for the canvas wrapping), but it was significantly more expensive, so I didn’t do that.

Also, I think @user@domain, but I don’t know if it notifies the user yet.

Someone hired the dude from Fired On Mars to make these posters.

I really liked the recent version. It was pretty slow building, kinda difficult to get through the first couple episodes but then it got better and better towards the end.
