I disagree with most of the routines the article describes, but cleaning your watch is a good idea :)

I would preemptively buy a replacement set of springs and bearings before opening the bezel. Just a heads up from someone who recently cleaned mine.
I have never done this, but from what I have read … yes, totally agree :)
