Bucur LF (from Low Floor) is the first (and only, to this date) tram model of URAC (Uzina de Reparații “Atelierele Centrale” - roughly translated as Repairs Factory “Central Workshops”) to feature a low floor for the biggest part of the vehicle (65% to be precise). Other bi-articulated models only offer a lower floor on the middle section, while the 1st and the 3rd section are still high floor. The name of the tram “Bucur” comes from the name of the legendary shepherd, that is said to have founded the city.

To this date, only 17 units were built, all serving various lines in Bucharest, with an 18th still waiting to resume production since years. Most of the units served the circular 1 and 10 lines originally, but now some are being redistributed as the more modern Astra Imperio trams are introduced.

The photo is mine, as you can tell by the potato quality, and was taken in 2011 (according to the metadata). The vehicle in the pic was retreating to the Dudești Depot, where all of them are assigned to this day.
