Got this through our letterbox yesterday. What sort of supernatural powers do we think they’re talking?

I did always quite fancy the power of invisibility when I was younger although nowadays I’d probably pick teleportation. Not sure where “supernatural power” ends and “superhero power” begins, though 🤔

Maybe this is more like the ability to be slightly see-through and float 6 inches off the ground. Which I guess is still cool in its own way.

If the gal in the 3rd position there is any indication, I think the only superpower you might gain is the ability for your drill to be the drill that pierces the heavens.

Edit: The part about “Falun Gong” tickled one of my neurons. I thought to myself, aren’t those the whackadoo tai chi aliens people?

    Yes. Yes they are.

Ah, ok, just clicked the link. That’s hilarious - support for plucky mystics oppressed by communist China until they go, “heaven is racially segregated”. Um, hang on…

In America, Falun Gong followers are often massive Q-anon conspiracy believers, overt racists, and Trump fanatics. Further proof that that group is filled with nutters.

From what I understand, it’s mostly that they’re TOTALLY OK with the sort of shit China has been doing. They’re just mad it’s not THEIR boots.

When I was in Hong Kong a few years back I saw a small group of people quietly promoting Falun Gong (banner slogan: “Falun Gong is Good”, catchy), while across the street another small group of people quietly held up signs denouncing Falun Gong as dangerous nonsense. Not sure why, but the CCP is fairly worked up about it, calls it a cult. I thought it was banned in China.
