I take new battery news always with a grain of salt. How often do we see news of a new great battery advancements just so apple can make the devices thinner. Guess we will see in fall.

But first they’ll have ads making fun of Apple, THEN they’ll copy them a few months later.

I think modern Apple, with all the faults they do have, are finally moving away from the thinnest designs possible.

I think it’s more like they’ve just reached the limit. devices can only get so thin before they are too fragile and awkward to hold.

I’d love a thinner phone instead of my current iPhone 13 brick that lasts 3-4 days on a charge, a thinner phone charging every night would be ideal, I miss my Samsung GS6 from the perspective. I know I’m a minority though.

I regret I didn’t get the 13 Mini, but that’s my own fault.

put it in a new iphone mini and I’m interested. Since I got the 13mini I will never go back to a brick in my pocket !

I know that the mini is something of a niche product but I don’t get why. Who is asking for these giant bricks of a cell phone? Well everyone apparently is, but why? I’d love apple to design a clamshell foldable so that I could get an even smaller pocket footprint

Your phone is a portal into a large part of the world. It’s not that odd that the average person would prefer a larger window.

My phone is a screen I use for reading, viewing media, using UI, etc. It’s a web device. Real estate matters, and larger keyboards are easier to type on.

Larger screens are harder to use one handed though. I really just want a screen sized to be used one handed by most people. I’d also argue that with Swype and similar stuff, typing on a keyboard really doesn’t need that much accuracy these days.

I used to be a small phone guy, but I hadn’t actually used a bigger phone before. I decided on a 14 Pro Max as “something different” when it came time to upgrade and I can’t go back to smaller.

Ugh I’m so mad they ditched minis. I’m on a 12 mini still. I want the newer chips in like the iPhone SE body please.

13 mini is basically the same size as the 4 I had years ago. I just want new chips and better battery, not a bigger phone every year

You want me to upgrade a phone pretty quickly? Tell me I can use it a week without having to recharge. I know we aren’t anywhere near that but I would pay a lot for that.

Do you not have a fast charger? It became pretty easy for me to stop thinking about the battery when a 20 minute charge gets me through the entire day.

I wonder if the EU is going to get their own ( IMO comprised iPhone ) or no new iPhones at all if their battery law goes in to affect making designs like this not able to be sold there.

Or just pin an average battery life of 24 hours and suck up as much energy as possible for tons of applications.
