I saw this video, maybe on a Fairphone video, where there was this mine collapse. Something like 40 people were in the sand and everyone was cheering as they were dug out. And all this to get the cobalt or whatever rare earths are needed for our phones.

It bothers me that just about every device with a lithium battery is tied to these atrocities.
