Kissinger may be the most overrated public figure of our times. He was never the idea man, just a tactician that figured out the often illegal ways to achieve the goals of those he worked for.

Calling him a war criminal gives him too much credit. Nixon was the war criminal, Kissinger was the lackey.

His body count in Argentina, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Chile, Cyprus, and Timor is revolting and criminal, but let’s not pretend it was Kissinger who came up with the policies. He’s a symptom of a sick time and should be ignored as well as reviled.
