Absolutely! I am vaguely sympathetic to complains about blocking the sidewalk. Here in Spain restaurants constantly block the sidewalk with their “terraces”. It’s rather annoying.

But I think concern over food quality and the like are rather ridiculous. I don’t mean to stereotype but it seems like something that concerns “Karen” and not too many other people. Why not just to spot checks from time to time? Test for contaminants, bacteria and the like. The problem is that would mean 90% of the bureaucrats in charge of this stuff would lose their jobs.
