This piece of **** software really makes my life miserable every day.

The interface is full of emoji and stickers like a stupid tiktok knock off but the single most used feature in corporate environment is totally broken. I’m referring of course to the mind bending complicated copy+paste.

So instead of copying that annoying co-worker’s message, I end up sending him a ❤️ instead.

    Way to go, Microsoft.

The Windows OS doesn’t survive the encounter either.

In fact, Linux fares much better. But better still is to keep that boi sandboxed in a real (non MS) browser.

I also get minor paniks myself when I have the displeasure of needing to use it. Don’t want it tainting my OS, so been running it in Firefox lately.

FOSS for the win. I always avoid installing proprietary stuff unless it’s the only option.

As a Firefox enjoyer it really feels bad to keep Brave around just to use Teams. Not that I have any problem with Brave just, if a billion dollar company can’t be bothered to make a native Linux app that’s fine (it’s not) but could they at least support the major browsers?

I’ve told several external contacts if they cannot reschedule on something other than Zoom. They usually oblige with Teams. Which, has worked OK on Firefox and Linux so far.

How do you even use Teams on Linux these days, except for as a PWA?
They’ve recently gone the extra step of discontinuing the native app, making it even more of a headache to use it…

Yeah it sucks so hard, I hate that it’s the de facto standart. Afaik you don’t even have decent noise cancelling if you use it as PWA, right?

I’m not sure, my biggest problem right now is getting it to stop muting my mic and to start showing me notifications…
