A deadly new tool that will kill feral cats by spraying them with a toxic gel is being rolled out, as part of a five-year plan to reduce the enormous impact the predators are having on native wildlife.

The device, called a Felixer grooming trap, has been approved by federal authorities for feral cat management across the country.

    It is probably first weaponized AI deployed to the wild. How they can be sure it will not spray dogs, or humans in t-shirt with cats. Not to mention that missed shots will be laying around ready to kill anything which touches it.

    But they said they were expensive and not currently suitable for use in a large “landscape scale” and best suited for specific locations.

    That’ll slow their use.
