It would also help if there was an incentive for these companies to provide quality care through feedback of real patients. Like some kind of significant incentive where they would realize their automated phone system doesn’t work. That’s just the first place I thought of though

I might have missed it but I don’t see anywhere that talks about health insurance and medical companies that sell medical consumables/equipment.

It’s so hard to know insurance coverage. Call your insurance company and ask how much you have to pay out of pocket for a procedure. They could give you a quote but also say don’t quote them because they don’t know. Healthcare facilities have a hard time figuring out which insurance companies are in network and which procedures are covered.

Companies selling medical consumables increase their prices about 10% EVERY YEAR. Now add annual Medicare reimbursement cuts to that. Medicare is already the golden standard. If Medicare cuts their reimbursement on something, it’s likely insurance companies will as well. We aren’t in a system with some doctor price gouging because they want to get rich. Most likely they have a hard time staying afloat and competing with the healthcare corporations.

You have conglomerates like CVS who own health care clinics, pharmacies, deep investments in pharmaceutical companies and own Aetna health insurance. Full circle healthcare. Do they pass all these savings down to their patients? Idk but I’m guessing the money they are saving is massive compared to the price reduction. The bigger the company the lower prices they pay because they have better contract negotiating power.

Tech these days delivers products designed to collect data. They design products that force the consumer to navigate through a bunch of hurdles so more data gets collected.

The benefits of AI, Flock and meta glasses outweighs the price to the consumer. AI is fundamentally flawed at its core.

The United States will continue to drain its resources into the war in Iran. The same way Russia has done this with Ukraine.

I was talking about McDonald’s the other day and saying how I used to buy their regular hamburgers for $1 each and now they are like $3. I wanted to know exactly how much they cost now so I opened the McDonald’s app and a promo popped up for “buy 1 hamburger get 1 free”. It was the first thing that popped up on the screen. Was it a weird coincidence or audio data collection?

Bluetooth connections? Things you plug your phone into? Cords you use to plug your phone into something. WiFi hotspots?

If they really want you, they will get you. I have a feeling data collection is constantly changing and it’s challenging to keep up. I’m not an expert in this at all though. Just ideas.

Trained AI can be pretty useful at writing. People just need to actually read and edit it.

I made a website about a sport I knew nothing about. I was using AI to write the articles. I would cross reference the information against other websites on that sport and edit my AI article to make it more natural. The end goal was affiliated marketing but I lost interest after a while. Anytime you see an article like “the 10 best…” “the best hacks for…” etc, the author most likely made the article like I was doing.

Fortunately Google has shot themselves in the foot because nobody can find anything of value with their search engine anymore. Googles AI has significantly decreased traffic to all websites as well.

Alcohol is kind of a social drug. Companies have done a fantastic job at price gouging their drinks. The cost to benefit isn’t there for the consumer anymore.
