  • Still slowly making my way through book 1 of He who fights with Monsters. I am enjoying it some, its only second litRPG i have read. I think DCC is better so far but this one kinda feels more fleshed out in some ways? I dunno maybe its because its book 1 and DCC was the same in book 1 but its been a minute since i read it so I dont remember. Maybe its more fleshed out in that its not a world ending event that kicks everything off like DCC.

Also started The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa. I like it so far not far, but i really want to know more about this world. Hopefully there is something explaining things by the end.

  • Finished Lost Worlds by Patrick Wyman, its a history of how civilizations or the starts of them formed using what we know from the archeological records and newer DNA evidence. I enjoyed it as it was easily understandable and his story telling is pretty good. 8/10 overall i think.

Still working my way through the first He who fights with Monsters book. Its a litrpg like DCC took a bit but I am slowly becomming invested, I think. There are a lot of these and they all seem pretty long 600+ pages usually. Might slowly get through these and do something different in between. Guess I will know when I finally finish the first one, if I want to dive right back in.

  • I finished Between Two Fires. For me maybe a 6/10. Maybe just not for me but everything about it seemed like it would be. Some neat scenes and stuff but i dont know how to describe it.

I started Lost Worlds by Patrick Wyman. Its a history of how early socities slowly began to form using what we know from the archeology records and DNA evidence. So far its been pretty good, but that could be bias i enjoyed his podcast Tides of History.

Also started the first book of He who fights with monsters. Its a litrpg similar to DCC? I guess. Not super far yet but i am hoping it grabs me. O guess DCC had more hype from friends. This was suggested by my partner, she read the first chapter or two and thought I would like it.

  • Finished Morning Star this week, really enjoyed it a solid 9/10 for me. Red Rising trilogy as a whole probably 8.5 or 9/10? The first book really takes forever to get going.

I am struggle bussing through Between Two Fires. It feels like it should be right up my alley, medieval France, horrorish vibes, knights, but it just isnt. I am near the end so will finish it in the next day or two but maybe my fault for sticking it out. Probably should have dropped it, but i have trouble doing that.
