So sickening. Hope war will end soon and Russia pays

Maybe that magazine should be linked on this one’s description so people can know about it and its purpose
To make a thread, go to the community you wanna post on, then click Create a new article. It’s confusing I know haha but after I learned that, I haven’t had problems. They might change how that part is organized too to be more clear
Is there any class in school you’ve done that’s been sustainable for you? If you feel like coding/art is more like a hobby and you don’t want to be stuck doing it forever, maybe there’s something else out there for you that you’d feel content working on a little every day.
If you’re worried about coding as a job from competitiveness though, I think don’t worry too much about it. It’ll work out if you just try your best. Even you doing coding for fun is pretty cool :o
It iis easier to sign up for kbin I think because kbin lets you sign up with google or facebook. I did gmail google sign up because I like being lazy.
Kbin is slightly more confusing (they named everything a little weird), so if you do make a kbin.social account lmk or ask many questions about how to do stuff. It’s easy once I knew stuff like magazine = subreddit
Are you going to the community and then clicking create new article? Maybe post a screenshot of the issue you run into
I advertised my kbin magazine on that lemmy community you mentioned :) I’m subscribed to it too. Most of the forums im subscribed to are from lemmy but it’s fine
I just want ShitPostCrusaders to magically be here and popular xD I miss them
Is it possible to rename the display name for this magazine to “ADHD memes”? The original instance updated the display name, but the address will always be the same.
Forum on the original instance is here https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/adhd
The only thing that’d be cool is if these community browsers could add the search for other communities as well, like for the kbin aggregator’s communities. There’s one called RedditMigration (https://kbin.social/m/RedditMigration or @RedditMigration) that has more than 250 posts, and it’s started on kbin.social. It would be cool to be able to search more easily other communities so that it’s easier to find the content on the fediverse.
Kbin can improve its community search too but I am finding it easier to know about other communities not on kbin on its search. Whereas, on lemmy, maybe it’s because I’m on a lower population instance, but it’s very hard to find a community if it’s not on lemmy, and I didn’t already just know about it from the kbin account
yeah that’s what I’m struggling with too, like it’d be great if we could encourage people to try these, but at the same time I don’t want to give them a bad first impression to turn them off forever if they can not stand it’s still a baby project (understandable). I honestly don’t think it’s that hard to start using these fediverse products though, and I feel like the posts saying “lemmy will never take off”, “kbin is too hard to use” only gave me barriers to start using it. And then when I did start, I was like oh this is great, everyone’s talking, it’s a close community
What does it mean to be a bot account? I saw the setting, but I didn’t know what it meant
maybe kbin is too young to be able to do what you’re describing? I’ll put a screenshot of what I can see (desktop for kbin.social)

(btw will you type exactly the command you put, maybe with the code `` option)?

I don’t know completely what you mean. I’m on kbin, so currently for me it shows a blue link “image” but it doesn’t seem to do anything when I click it. Wonder if it looks different on lemmy
Yeah for me I made the transition today feeling the same way as you. It sucks that just because mods try to go on strike, on behalf of everyone really, the users try to help reddit instead.
For me I’m making the change after being sure I won’t regret/miss too much the content on reddit. I might still go back sometimes for a google search (appending reddit), but for the most part, I’m not using it as a platform I browse.
Even if this fediverse stuff doesn’t pan out, I’m happy to tread these waters and see if it’ll be our future solution to avoiding these greed induced social media self destructions.
Today was the first day I just felt so sickened by how reddit just wouldn’t budge, no matter how disatisfied its users are. I just didn’t even feel good about using the site anymore, even if I love the content/lazy content there
Actually, there are more cases of domestic violence than false accusations. How come we’re not worried about false accusations of robbery when they happen at the same rate as false accusations of sexual assault? Trust me, there are not karens lurking in every corner trying to make fake reports.
In our society where sexual assault is underreported, and one in 4 women experience domestic violence, why are you putting a comment that wouldn’t help this society improve on this front?
