I’m not sure how I’m supposed to prove an opinion. At the same time, I’m not sure it follows that a statement that would be very difficult to prove either way would necessarily count as a lie. I wish you all the best with your world view.

Having not lived in UK for a while I won’t offer up anything local. However, there is this from my current homeland:

It is. A lot of councils set limits arbitrarily low to frustrate drivers. It makes for easy pickings if you set up a speed camera or frequent the area with mobile speed traps.

Yup. Having kids is an order of magnitude worse for the environment than anything else you could do to lower your carbon footprint.

Automatic high beams are a new hell. I thought people were just removed until I hired a newer car recently. Then I realised what everyone else was doing… trusting faulty technology, and possibly being lazy in the process.

Re: sitting down, I’ve experienced (more than once) an unpleasant dampness soaking into my shorts/trousers from the seat fabric. I stand unless I have no choice.

I’d love to do this, but I used LinkedIn to find my current job, & I’ll probably need it to find the next one (when the time comes).

I keep it up to date, like a kind of running CV, but otherwise I don’t interact with it.

Amazing how versioning can give an air of legitimacy through the illusion of progress.
