The brighter purple option on the bottom gives me a flashback from one day when someone was yelling at me in Overwatch that I was not healing them, and then I died, and my death cam ended too early, so it swapped to the only living teammate. It was the person who yelled at me, emoting in the part of the map where literally nobody was. I haven’t seen that person at all for the whole match, I have no idea what they were even doing there because it took extra effort to go where they went.

Ypsilenna Gloomvale@lemmy.zipto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Is the amount of Lemmy activity declining?English1·5 days agoI can relate to that. Most of the info I usually need from Reddit is about gaming, and the majority of games I play aren’t even mentioned here. I also agree on the political ragebait part. I narrow my feed down to the communities I follow only, because the moment I use “All”, I get a lot of these.

And then the director joins them and records himself eating Whiskas on her foot
Ypsilenna Gloomvale@lemmy.zipOPto Comic Strips@lemmy.world•When You're Evil: The Good Necromancer9·6 days agoGood question. On one hand I would like to say no, because it wasn’t a part of the dog originally, but on the other hand, with that bone still in its throat it would probably sound like a flute every time it opens its mouth, so now I am torn. They could rename the dog to Mr. TromBONE, and it would control the sounds it makes by moving the undead bone 😆

This looks like my old folder with art WIPs that I decided to delete altogether because I was never going to finish them.
This is me. Then I shake it off and wonder where all that time went because I didn’t do anything, but it’s suddenly late.
Damn, I wish I knew how to play a trombone :(
Ypsilenna Gloomvale@lemmy.zipto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Is the amount of Lemmy activity declining?English18·6 days agoI recently re-joined Lemmy, so I am not sure how it changed, but I am mostly a Mastodon user and I noticed that people were flooding it in large quantities when something stupid happened on Twitter (again), and then leaving it after a short while to go back to Twitter or quitting social media altogether. I would suspect that people either started going back to Reddit, or decided to get a mental health break from the internet as a whole (which wouldn’t surprise me, the internet is pretty depressing lately).
I knew a person who would first spam everyone obsessively about their interests for long periods of time and then get upset that everyone got interested in that as well because they are “copying” them. I am still unsure where they stand on this scale 😆

Ypsilenna Gloomvale@lemmy.zipto Lemmy Be Wholesome@lemmy.world•Most wholesome death-by-spider on record2·7 days agoThis is so wholesome; I love accessibility features. It’s usually difficult for me to focus on dialogues in games without subtitles; seeing a chat transcription would be SO helpful to me even though I am not deaf. It should be a standard feature in modern gaming.
For the last several years, for some reason I started experiencing motion sickness, which extends to videogames too. I was so happy when I played World of Warcraft recently, and I noticed that they added anti-motion sickness features for people like me 🥹

I thought eating healthier specimens’ poop was what rodents did. The last time I checked, humans weren’t classified as rodents 😂
Ypsilenna Gloomvale@lemmy.zipto ADHD@lemmy.world•[Question] Anyone here currently writing a story?English3·7 days agoI’m writing a fantasy story, and I wrote quite a lot, but I sometimes struggle to keep my focus on it, so it goes slowly.
The story is about a priestess of the day cycle who seeks to claim celestial power of spirit animals and ends up making a deal with one of them, but it wipes her memories completely. Over the course of her story, she tries to learn how to harness the new magic and how to live in a new place full of strangers who accepted her as one of them.
It’s supposed to be an illustrated novel. I’m working on the illustrations when I don’t feel like writing.
Sounds familiar. Sometimes when I play tank, I want to engage, so I turn around, confirm that my entire team is with me, and then I die alone on the point because in this second they decided that what we need is 4 flanks, lol. When it happens, I usually don’t even know how they left so fast. Also people who think that cover means blanket apparently, because they stand out in the open waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far from any corner and then flame you for not shielding/healing them because it’s 100% your fault that this Cassidy engaged 1vs 5 in the middle of the room. Safe positioning? Hell no, support diff, tank diff, second dps diff, your mother diff, everything diff besides the player who does this because what could go wrong 😆 I also had situations when the tank was seeing that I play a squishy slow support/dps and when they saw that somebody decided to dive us, that person just dismantled the shield and left me there to be melted. I once was flamed by an Orisa who somehow matched all of these descriptions, so I watched the replay from their perspective and that person was not even moving the camera around, just going ahead in a straight line and kept getting flanked by players outside their field of view, but it was our fault for not healing them… amazing…
