The livonian crusade brought serfdom god and good morals to my people, I’m sure they were happy!

Nah seriously, we still had tribes with pretty loose organization some thousand years ago. Then 800 years ago some lovely people decided the pagans needed God and of course that meant God’s order: feudalism.

I disagree on 3 out of the 4 being particularly clear signs back then.

#1 and #3 always seemed like critiques of slavery and discrimination to me as a teen when reading those. I recall Hermione being the voice of reason that wizards ignored because slavery was convenient and the people who wanted “mudbloods” gone were shown as bad, with Voldemort in particular having no redeeming qualities.

#2 was pretty inexcusable back then but surprisingly enough is going to be found increasingly acceptable now that Israel has shown its true colours

#4 I don’t know the context but maybe she just didn’t want a bunch of Americans? Because the guy who played Krum is Bulgarian and Fleur’s actress was French. There was an actress from Bangladesh. To me that would make sense because the film industry is very America-centric.

Also before the entire TERFdom and now literal nazism saga, she said shit like “nowhere does it say Hermione has to be white” (which her own book disagreed with but this is an example of how she used to be more tolerant). She’s changed a lot and it can only be the money and the company people with money tend to keep (other people with money). Wealth cap starting to seem better by the day.

If you want to be able to take off whatever day you want, surely you should also expect to be paid less because there has to be an extra employee on payroll that comes in with near-zero notice whenever you text “not coming in” in the morning?

  • Replying from my other account because I’m too lazy to relog into sopuli on my phone but:

It’s not that simple. Take the US. Billionaires collectively own about 10 trillion. Boomers collectively over 80 trillion. You take every single cent away from billionaires and you barely make a difference in people’s ability to retire. I mean you should still do that. But money that isn’t backed by labor or goods moving around in the economy is kinda useless and you need people to produce said goods and provide services. All that billionaire moolah is mostly predicated on everyone holding all their stock because stock values fall apart when people sell. You could sell a few million worth of stock and cause that company’s value to go down a billion. It’s smokes and mirrors.

  • Other age groups don’t entire half the damn economy. Boomers are a class unto themselves.

Billionaires collectively own about 10 trillion in the US, Boomers collectively over 80 trillion.

Just going with the US because it’s the best known example. It’s not very dissimilar in other western countries but the US is the worst I believe.

Hmm perhaps I’m just not genetically predisposed to big glutes. My quads and calves are massive and my upper body is ridiculous, but neither cycling nor squats ever gave me a big ass lol

My ex once got a fracture in her forearm trying to spank it though, that’s what I mean by glutes of steel.
