Not really,
Nvidia just calls everything DLSS…
Like, it’s basically an anthology label at this point. If they think it’s a good idea, they call.it DLSS #
For example DLSS 4 was frame generation, nothing to do with super sampling.

The us plan was literally:
If Israel attacks without us, Iran might attack US bases. So US should just attack with Israel.
No part of the “plan” addressed that Iran would logically attack US bases.
Bibi just told Trump it was a solution so that was enough for trump.
It just guaranteed the bad result they thought might happen. But if just Israel had attacked, it’s likely that would have been the only place Iran counter attacked.

China is siding with Iran and Russia and making a move on Taiwan, and Tawainese chips are the one thing we care more about than oil.
trump thought he was in the dictator club, but they played him and are all making moves to increase their own terrorist and trump is left just standing between Iran and Israel with no path to any actual gain for all the trouble.

Previously, he has appealed to China, France, Japan, South Korea and Britain.
China took Iran’s deal instead…
Iran just sent a super tanker full of oil to China.

That’s not even the worst…
Our House of representatives is supposed to make up for it, but each rep represents over 20x the people they did when the country was founded.
The reason we lost so much representation, is the room they occasionally meet in would be too cramped if they kept adding chairs to it.
But just in general, it’s almost always best to blame political leaders for a government’s actions and not just blame every person living there.
Good and bad.

or the electoral college
That’s the part that’s relevant…
Whether a state goes 51% of 100%, counts the same.
This leads to depressed turnout and obviously no elections being on “all Americans”. Most of our votes for president don’t matter because most states go one way or the other.

The thing is, as a foreigner, and speaking bluntly, this is on the entire American population
No problem.
To put it bluntly I don’t expect Americans to understand our political system, so I’m not surprised when foreigners clearly don’t. Shits complicated and nonsensical
I just wish more would ask questions instead of sharing uninformed opinions as facts, but maga thinking isn’t reserved for Americans…

Saying Dems need to be involved isn’t enough.
We need the party pushing for no war, and holding the people accountable who started it without congressional approval.

I just love the quote:
So, we need, I, I would really, I’m demanding…
He starts with needing help, starts to say he just really wants it, then pivota to demanding it.
The fact that he went thru those steps shows how much pressure he’s facing.
His two biggest wings of influence has been Israel and American christo-fascists, if they start pulling him in opposite ways, he can’t hold onto both.
He’s fucked, but so are the rest of us by extension. Hopefully just till midterms at least.

He later said: “So, we need, I, I would really, I’m demanding that these countries come in and protect their own territory because it is their territory, it’s the place from which they get their energy and they should come and they should help us protect it.”
Then came the line that quickly sparked reaction online:
“You could make the case that maybe we shouldn’t even be there at all because we don’t need it.”
It’s Iran’s terrority, and Iran is defending it after being attacked…
But I really think he’s getting pressure from Christian extremists to abandon Israel. Their endgame was always Israel getting wiped out by its neighbors to start Armageddon and rapture Christians.
If no one joins against Iran, trump will likely try to slink away and Bibi holding the bag.

They offered to help America for free, and trump told them to kick rocks…

Views of Israel have shifted negative, especially among Democrats and independents
Dems:
13% favorable
30% no opinion/neutral
57% negative

In 1793 each Rep represented 35k people…
In 2023 it was 761k per each House Rep…
Representative democracy is fine, the problem is we need like 20x more representatives at least.
That makes lobbying/bribing that much harder and dilutes political power. As well as giving us a much wider pool for higher office.
The excuse for freezing the number is number of chairs that will fit in a room, literally, that’s why we lost representation. Telework solves that.

To be fair, Hitler got a lot of his ideas from America…
He implemented worse shit than America was doing, obviously. But that’s because the most extreme in America didn’t have control.
This pivotal meeting on the road to the Nuremberg Laws involved repeated and detailed discussion of the American example,” Whitman writes. (p.96) The Germans were not interested so much in U.S. segregation laws; their goals were to disqualify Jews from citizenship and to criminalize marriage and sexual relations between Jews and non-Jews, in order to “protect German blood and honor.”
For this, they looked to a number of American legal innovations. One was the way in which the U.S. immigration quotas, adopted by Congress in 1921 and tightened in 1924, were structured to heavily favor what were considered “racially desirable” people in northern and western Europe, and severely reduce the number admitted from eastern and southern Europe (primarily Jews and Catholics) and from Asia. Although the U.S. was by no means the only country to decide immigration based on racist ideas, Whitman notes, it had become “the leader in developing explicitly racist policies of nationality and immigration.” (p.36)
The Nazi jurists were also keenly interested in America’s development of a type of second-class citizenship for residents of Puerto Rico and the Philippines, the territories that the U.S. captured and occupied in the Spanish-American War of 1898. The Supreme Court upheld the conquered peoples’ status as “non-citizen nationals.” German legal scholars created an extensive body of literature on the subject, which the Nazis utilized. “America, in the eyes of this German literature, was a laboratory for experimentation in diminished citizenship rights,” Whitman notes. (p.43)
Finally, the Nazis looked closely at the laws in 30 states prohibiting marriage between whites and blacks, the last of which (Virginia) was abolished only in 1967. In defining who could marry and who could not, these American precedents included helpful (to the Nazis) ways for deciding the status of persons of mixed-race. The issue of “mongrelization,” which entered the American legal system originally because of relations between white masters and black slaves, was important to the Nazis in addressing the question of Germans who were of partly-Jewish descent.
As an example of the prominence of sentiment in America against race-mixing, Whitman quotes U.S. Senator Theodore Bilbo (Democrat of Mississippi) railing, in 1938, about how “mongrelization” could “destroy white civilization.” Bilbo worried that “even one drop of Negro blood placed in the veins of the purest Caucasian destroys the inventive genius of his mind and palsies his creative faculty.” (p.77) Many states—primarily, but not exclusively, in the south—defined a Negro as someone who had any Negro ancestors; hence the term “one drop.” Ironically, the Nazis considered the one-drop rule too harsh, and instead adopted the one-grandparent rule to define Jewishness.

Let that bit at the end sink in.
The American South had stricter “racial purity laws” then the fucking nazis

We actually did in WW2…
Europeans were already less racist, but when Americans finally showed up, especially in France, absolutely no one gave a fuck what color their skin. The Nazis did, but by that point they were dead Nazis.
When American GIs returned, the Black ones didn’t like the idea of going back to being second class citizens, and the white ones were less inclined to think they were lesser.
That lead to the civil rights movement in the 60s.
It’s probably from his drinking…
He was getting duis thru the late 90s and had a court ordered rehab and a bunch others.
Especially back then a lot of those include a healthy dose the kind of Jesus rich people love.
Throw in normal mental decline of aging and the lead exposure from his love of cars that you’d manually add lead too…
And yeah, obviously he’s a Republican now.
His brain is cooked, and has been for decades by now.
We really need to start teaching modern history to kids as it happens…
The younglings honestly don’t understand this has been happening for decades before trump showed up.
The silver lining is trump is so fucking bad at selling it, that damn near everyone is realizing what he’s doing. They thought Iran would get them support, but it’s fairly obvious they know how calendars and our government works…
They’ll drag it out till midterms with likely escalations leading up to election day. Everytime trump mitigates gas prices and brags, Iran can just squeeze harder.
Reminiscent of Nixon with Vietnam, except no one has to convince Iran they’re better off with a muzzled trump than one who can do anything he wants with the American military.

For real deal Hemingway level of fuckery?
Labor leaders, politicians and those close to them, journalists (almost most of all), scientists, government officials, and then anyone who has an existing megaphone whose message would reach a lot of people fast.
99.9999% of the population doesn’t fall under that.

Happy to help!
The more informed people the better these days.
No…
But great job assuming that reading a single comment about it somehow means you know more about it than what the comment contained.
I legitimately only know a handful or so of people that overconfident in themselves.
