Here I was thinking it was childhood depression that creates comedians but it was fetal alcohol syndrome all along
I thought discord streaming was so dumb until I was trying to reach my friend something in a game. Now we use it a couple times per month, it’s great. I hate that I like Discord lol

Trainspotting
Garden State…could not tell you a single thing about the film but when it was released, the soundtrack was full of my favorite artists at the time
Honorable mention: Most Wes Anderson films have pretty thoughtful soundtracks but I’ve never been blown away or introduced to a new band
I knew I’d like it as soon as it was announced, just not for the same reason I thought (no damaged USB ports). What I really love is not having wires everywhere that get caught on this
Judge: for the charge of first degree murder, we find the defendant guilty
Me: ok Google, set a timer for 10 years
In college I found a $20 bill in front of those towers
I saw someone going off about how wireless charging is a stupid gimmick and liking it just means you fell for the marketing hype.
So I guess you and I are suckers. I love my INIU wireless charging stands that I bought 2 of for $30 or whatever
Large statues exist in the real world. I’ve seen countless with my own eyes…
…Yet every picture with one towering in the background makes me wonder, “what games is this from?”
Me neither but it’s still a bold move
NDA was the wrong term to use there but I’m sure there was a “don’t give the game to anyone” in there they might be enforceable. I hope they don’t sue, though
I’m guessing he signed an NDA so I’m not sure what he was thinking distributing it so publicly.
TLDR: a guy who beta tested Half-Life found a CD of said beta
I was going to say “asexuality” but…I think sex does a pretty good job of selling asexuality to asexuals.
Addicts are one of the most marginalized groups in the world. Because their situation is self-inflicted, very few people will offer them a helping hand. It’s the same with the homeless - the prevailing opinion is that they got themselves into it so they should get themselves out.
I don’t agree with those opinion but it’s crazy to pretend they aren’t made fun of
I think it’s more of an evolution in the way we use computers than a problem. The original Office UI was made during a time of single monitor dominance and now dual monitors is the standard for companies.
My most-used applications for work at AutoCAD and Excel and it’s very rare I DON’T have them maximized. They both have ribbons but even if they didn’t, I can’t imagine using them in a small window. Really the only program I don’t run full screen is Notepad
I have all the stuff I use regularly on the first ribbon. I also run excel with the formula bar 3-lines tall. Common keyboard shortcuts were removed so there’s very little unused clutter
At work I use a 1920x1200 display and have never once thought “ugh I wish I could see 4 more rows” - but if I did, I’d just collapse the ribbon…
Who do you call when you want some pepperoni?
The ribbon is better than menus. They’re even customizable. And lots of non-Microsoft software uses ribbons, too.
Plus there’s a search function right at the top if you can’t find the option you’re looking for
I think if you post someone else’s comic without adding anything to it, you deserve no attribution either. Pete is getting attention for something he didn’t do.
If it were Tumblr, he’d be the “I reblog this every time” comment at the bottom of the screenshot. If it were tiktok, he’d be the guy green screened in front of the comic pointing and saying nothing. And it were early internet, he’d be the guy downloading it from SomethingAwful and adding a watermark of his website.
But really, I don’t have a problem with Pete. The thing that irrationally bugs me is including him in the screenshot when the only content is the comic itself. BUT…whenever I see these, I assume it’s the person adding nothing who took the screenshot. It’s marketing…“please follow me on social media, I want to be an influencer”
