You make excellent counterpoints and I also need to consider that chauvinism may have still occurred under such regimes as the USSR, and it’s something worth educating myself about.

I was definitely taken aback by the comment “feminism has run its course.” Feminism is far from accomplishing its intended goals and infighting in the movement between “TERFS (jfc)” and “second wave (who may have given up on core values and are just promoting open objectification/commodification of their bodies to serve the sexual whims of men and compete with other women),” and the militant wing who are pushing forward for true equality and liberation.
The whole concept of women even needing to fight for their rights in this world makes me sad. In a socialist society where class divisions melt away and the bourgeois that pushes narratives of hate and oppression are defeated, the entire notion that women are not equals would be a bizarre, antiquated notion that sounds batshit insane. Same goes for oppression towards racial/ethnic groups and LGBTQ+.

Mail-in ballot, hand it in yourself.

I think we just need to put up everyday, regular workers who refuse PAC money and operate ethically, as well as presenting a socialist platform. That would overcome a lot of disillusionment with left voters and even poor MAGA, who were betrayed by the neoliberal establishment; who thought Trump would bring socialist elements and advocate for them. I think this would build enough broad support to win.
People are broadly tired of political corruption and capitalist exploitation; they’ve just been brainwashed by the Epstein class to blame socialism.
Also, we need to arm up for the plan B. The SRA is one organizational resource.

I’ve definitely considered that outcome. Uprooting and relocating ones family takes a lot of money. It is not realistic for most and a pretty far stretch for my family. I have a masters level education and could possibly end up as a taxi driver elsewhere.

It is bad, racialised and inaccurate I would highly recommend some introspection on likening certain groups to bugs.
I will shut up now and listen. I apologize for the ignorant text. Have a good day.

I don’t know what to tell you when the Russian ministry of defense in 1993 reported the total military death toll was 8.7 million AND that is a conservative figure.
It was a bad joke, for sure, but not inaccurate one.
On a serious note, the USSR wasn’t prepared for full-scaled war when Germany invaded. What they were up against made their struggle even more valiant and their victory so much more tremendous.
I don’t know if we’re on the same side of this, but the USSR saved the world. They’re the heroes, here.

Um… I’m a nazi?
The study of battles like Stanlingrad show a noble victory by the Soviets at a great expense to their manpower and equipment. A heroic win, nonetheless.
During Operation Bagration, they were swarming and enemy lines with a flood of armed cavalry riders (horseback).
One of the factors that ensured Soviet victory besides brilliant maneuvering and deception, was their ability to overpower the enemy with sheer numbers.

That’s why you stick to the concerns of the workers, economy and poor in your messaging, not cultural war rhetoric. Power to the people is a great message that appeals to most.
Defeat capitalism and THEN human rights for marginalized groups can take off. Blue collars and rural poor will no longer have to scapegoat others when material conditions are favorable.

In the process of obtaining my passports if needed. They won’t want my commie ass around, anyway.
If they do some lockdown bullshit, my family and I will find some way to escape.

So if you read the article, it gives you exact suggestions what to do.
Trying to preemptively react in ahem ways outside the law will just trigger mass violence against people trying to vote and give the administration more excuses to increase military presence and retaliation.
Mark these words though, the probability of him rigging the election is close to 100% certainty. That’s when we do something more.
Or, we do nothing and we live with decades of fascism.

It’s funny, I was talking to my financial planner who says bear markets happen on average every 5 years anyway. And yes, he also confirmed we experience massive crashes when speculative industries arise without any real value behind them. I guess the plus side in that is if you’re fortunate to have like $25 k in savings; you can take some of that cash and buy up when the markets crash to all time lows.
Gotta love the Wall St predators.
I hate this all, but if you throw your investments into ETFs and index funds, at least those are somewhat more stable and resilient. And at least my investments aren’t in hedge funds.
It’s hilarious. I thought at 20 years of age, I’d be balling while bringing in this kind of income. A significant chunk of our family income goes towards future investment for retirement, my kids’ future education and healthcare costs, because our safety nets fucking suck. And we live pretty modestly because of that.
I often think of the majority of people who haven’t had my level of privilege, access to education and good fortune, and how they don’t really have any disposable income to invest. They don’t come from generational wealth, or don’t have access to proper assistance, because people refuse to invest in our future generations. Our youth who should’ve started building a financial future in their early 20s are fucked.
Know how I bought an overpriced modest 3-bedroom condo in a mid Southeastern USA city with old bathrooms and a beat up kitchen? My entire student loan was paid off and I got a refund on all of my payments because I put in 10+ years of public service in my field, along with having made enough payments.
Forgot to mention, that’s on a 30-year fixed mortgage. But that was still better at being at the mercy of landlords who kick you out at will, and kept jacking up the price of rent to the point where rent is more than a 30-year death contract.
But that student loan was hell. I would’ve been throwing $500-600 dollars a month at that thing with most of the payment getting sucked into interest. Again, education is important and necessary nowadays, but those who don’t come from generational wealth are indeed screwed.
Anyway, with some help along the way I’m grateful for, I get to grind away until 65-70, and by then, I won’t be at my top shape anymore to really enjoy the freedom of retirement and do things like travel. I try to take care of my body, but age always wins. As for now, no taking vacations to places faraway like I had dreamed of in my youth. Too damn expensive. And after all of this work I put in.
I’m still grateful in a lot of ways. Boo-hoo, first-world problems I guess. Most people in this world struggle to even have clean water, basic necessities and will probably never see the world outside of their own village. And soon enough, we’ll all be facing second- and third-world problems like so many other countries imperialist capitalist nations have screwed over.
And you gotta love it when people say “just I invest more, day trade, blah, blah.” You are 99.99% guaranteed to lose on speculative individual trading, and bills/necessities still need to get paid.
I often think how me, my wife or my kids could get stabbed in the street by a desperate person who was left behind because of the wonders of capitalism. And sadly it will get worse.

Trump and his buddies approve of a lower age for menarche.

Beware…. I’ll wave my gavel at you, if you don’t obey!

Low-lying island communities and major beach cities get flooded out, prompting mass inland migration.
Gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelette. We get to stick to those leftist commies AND make a killing at the same time!

True universal healthcare subjugates pharma companies and large medical providers, allowing for price controls, eventually eliminating market elements that provide healthcare for profit (commodification of human health and life is a violation of human rights).
Complete nationalization ensures public funding is put into research, development and medical education where it is needed most. Instead of pharma companies trying to develop and market new opioids, dick pills and happy pills to dope people into compliance with capitalism-induced misery, that funding can instead be driven towards finding cures for cancer, figuring out the looming threat of widespread antibiotic resistance, etc.
Doctors can be provided free medical education if they show sufficient aptitude, and we can go through with tort reform to protect medical practitioners from high liability costs. If doctors no longer have to pay back insane student loans and malpractice insurance costs, then we don’t need to pay them so much anymore, further cutting back costs.
Other countries show us how little money medical professionals will provide service for. Many doctors don’t do it for the pay - they do it because they get to be doctors… The for-profit healthcare system creates a bourgeois class of medical professionals.

So can we take the extra $1 trillion and hand it over the military-industrial complex and Israel? If so, I’m all for it!
50% of my 401k is with defense contractors and AI startups!
I have a feeling that all of Trumps Project 2025 handlers laugh and talk shit behind his back. He’s just a demented, empty sack mouthpiece to distract the populace with outrage, while they carry out their agenda of thinning out the unwashed masses.
