  • I remember there was a subreddit that’s dedicated to bots using gpt posting nonsense. No non bots are allowed to post there, and sometimes when there’s gold we post it on a sister sub to comment on them. IIRC the way it works is there’s a bunch of bots that scan some top something subreddits and post in the gpt sub. So for example there would be a /r/worldnews_bot, /r/aww_bot, etc. you get the idea.

  • In English class (am not from English speaking country) and exams, I always pick the fiction essay category. The school here (back 20 years ago, dunno how they do it now) has formatted essays (like writing a (in)formal letter, or a report) choice for easy marks. I don’t like writing those. For what it’s worth, I got on average A’s on my English exams. There’s a minimum word count to reach for free essays, and I used to get comments from my teacher to cut it short and not go past double the word count lol. Sadly I don’t remember what that word count was. I am very thankful for my teacher for encouraging my class to read and practice writing English so much. I even have a pocket thesaurus/dictionary I carry everywhere back then alongside whatever novel I was reading that time.

Point is, idk what my point is lol. Just sharing.

Edit: so okay maybe a point can be said about interest of the topic in writing (essays). I did bad on any other topic essays (geography, history, not science though I scored those essays).

  • I use YouTube Music Morphe in lieu of Spotify just for discovery. And now one of the later patches added listenbrainz scrobbling. I can have two algorithms for discovery.

Well in any case of misunderstanding how that works, some songs that I listen to is YouTube only. since people have been uploading music, including original music, to YouTube since before google bought them.

And I still want to rebuild my offline library. can’t rely on online streaming only for when the world goes to shit.

  • Don’t worry, more and more banks are going to apps where they “outsource” all security to Apple and Google on their respective phone OS security implementation. At least on android, the apps will detect if accessibility functions (and developer’s options) are turned on and will refuse to run the app. Who even needs accessibility right? Like there’s no less able bodied people using smartphones. And what’s that? It’s your phone? No, silly customer, we banks must protect you from getting scammed by policing your device. It’s the bank’s property. You bought that phone on financing anyways, so it really isn’t your property.

I am definitely not angry at this outcome. I bought my phone fair and square

  • Others have covered various points with better words than I can, so I’m going to share a website that is covering mobile phone games releases. not affiliated in any way

    https://minireview.io/

Is was developed and maintained by a youtuber covering mobile games. Although he haven’t uploaded to youtube in a year. And I don’t usually check the site so it could be outdated.

And I see mobile ports of pc games are taking more care in translating physical controls to touch screen controls. Still not the rule and definitely the exception, but it is out there. Latest one I remember off the top of my head is balatro and ballxpit.
