Colonial countries put the plundered resources to good use to strengthen their power, so for every depleted mine, for every empoverished family etc. in a third world country there is a factory or an office or a research facility in the first world.
The only way to win a rigged game is not to play it at all, and leading capitalist powers do everything they can to make this not an option.
