What does RFID chip even do here? What type of tricks does he do? Paying for groceries?

Many RFID chips will need a password to be transmitted in order to run a command, such as to write to the chip, so that malicious actors can’t just go around doing it themselves. I imagine he’s trying to write new information to his hand, but can’t remember what that password is.

      That’s your hand?

Followup if the above question is affirmative: can you feel it through your skin or just as you move your hand and digits about? And why?

That would disgust me. Hearing about the birth control implant rods gives me the shivers especially when someone offers to let me feel it. FUCK NO. serious body horror shit - like bot flys

Yep, my hand. Happened to break that wrist. And no, you can’t feel it at with just that hand. Sometimes I do fidget with it through my skin using my other hand though. Mostly just cause I’m a geek and thought it would be cool to have it for building access. Mine is an RFID/NFC combo, which is why it’s bigger than the one in the article.

And if you find the thought unpleasant in general… don’t look up the needle that’s used.
