When he was 15 years old, he was sent to the residential treatment program Casa by the Sea, which operated as a center for troubled kids.[16] He said the experience “completely changed the course of my life for the better”.[17]

In 2004, due to reports of physical abuse and solitary confinement of the children there, Mexican police raided the facility.[2] It was subsequently closed by Mexican government child-protective authorities on September 10, 2004.[3]

I can’t imagine the type of person who comes out of that counting it as a positive experience.
