    Yeah, we know, everybody knows!

But, no country is willing to send troops there to defeat Russia.

(yes, I know we supply AWAC support, satellite data, and “advisors” that are special forces and do a lot more than advise, but hell, we do that everywhere at all times anyways, you can’t count that!)

also because many countries, depend on russia, especially some of the right wing government, they dont want to bite the hand that feeds them. its like in voyager where the trabe wasnt losing any trading/influence because they dint want to offend them(they enslaved the kazon) eventhough its reprehensible.

Europe should create series of factories producing 1000-2000 long range strike drones a day and let Ukraine use them.

That would be the fastest way to end this war.

I think that’s a fantastic plan, but it appears to me that the EU would rather not lose their gas source, they are still buying Russian gas last time I checked. This would lead to at least a major price increase, which is bad for our too-big-to-fail international business interests.

On the other hand, Ukraine was given many F-16s, why would they allow F-16s but not long range strike drones? I don’t know enough to figure it out.

Guess its time for my ass to wait for death then because our leaders will 100% sell their countries for a nice villa somewhere.

I disagree, I think they will not invade the EU without Chinese agreement and a lot more of their support. But, I’m not a general or anything, just my opinion.

I don’t understand why so many countries are reluctant. Fear of escalation is dumb, as a bully will only keep escalating every time their power is proven effective.

Not wanting to deal with the public backlash over military deaths? WHAT THE FUCK IS A MILITARY FOR??? If we all thought like this back in the 1940s, we’d all be speaking German and eating nothing but cabbage and sausages.

No one WANTS to send people to possible death. But that’s why the military hires you, educates you and pays you the way they do. You don’t get s military salary just for playing soldier on training grounds. The express agreement is “we will give you all this, but you might have to fight one day”.

What the hell happened to us?

i suspect putin is funding most of these other countries politicians, they dont want to lose that money spigot, plus the propaganda that comes with it.

Fair…faacism waited just long enough for everyone who remembers to die, and it’s going for a speedrun this time.

so your problem w/ victorious Germans would have been cabbage and sausages?? (btw, it’s a completely different situation than w/ Nazi ruled Germany.)

Firstly, this reads as you saying “Nazis were okay until 1940 or so, but then they began doing really evil things”

Secondly, this reads as you defending the Russia.

Supporting Nazis or supporting the Russia have no place in this community.
Could you elaborate on these words of yours?

The premise of MAD has kept us alive so far, no reason to think it won’t continue to apply. Russia is counting on it.

Agreed, but that is what increased our reluctance for “total war” in my opinion, it’s not that our people have lost our spine. Nukes allow the weaker opponent to counter punch much higher than their weight class, this has even worked for North Korea.

            So far.

If nobody sends troops and Trump gets his (and Putins way) the Russians will make their way to Romania, Bulgaria, Poland and the Baltics soon enough.

Trump has 30+ years experience of doing business with Russia; even when it was quite unpopular and frowned upon.

He was suspected of being a money launderer for Russian oligarchs, I think this was in the 90s if memory serves, and there was legal involvement and government investigation with few results.

But those are EU nations, I disagree that this is their goal now or in near future. They’d would have to be fully supported by China and India first, they’re not berserk.

I don’t think China will go for it, what they are doing now is working perfectly for their goals, they are not planning a military victory, but an economic one. All they have to do is be patient.

In my opinion, that is.This is based on my admittedly limited knowledge of history and you could be right, I hope we never find out and that we are both wrong.
