I loved New York but I didnt enjoy Times Square. It’s an overly commercialized tourist trap. It felt loud, crowded, and soulless. It reminded me of Las Vegas. (Sorry). This picture somewhat captures my anxiety and discomfort there.

The l only time I didn’t mind being in Times Square was 2am on a Sunday after a concert.
It’s still fully lit up and open, but there was only a few people milling around. You could just walk slowly and gaze and go by a pair of underwear you forgot to pack.
