Well, most of all because I’m hoping to power through and see tomorrow (and the day after too), and unfortunately if I don’t make any money at some point that all falls apart.
Dunno if this counts, but the day I finished reading The Kaiju Preservation Society I found myself visiting someone else’s house, and what do I find in the bathroom? A painting of Godzilla. To this day, I wonder how they knew to put it there.
I should really revisit it with a different lens, because all I remember at this point is that I finished it quickly and “eat the rich” is a good step 1, but Birnam Wood has at least some tangential themes.
