    *She’s not wrong. I went to a public university, they spent the lions share of their budget on top heavy non academic staff, football, and the business school. Everything else was being allowed to wither.

      Stem and buisness Brainrot is also a factor for schools

      There is this idea that

      Stem and business = job

      so people register for those in the highest numbers

      and the other academic fields get less people to sign up and get budget cuts

      the right and the deans and people donating to these schools want to turn universities into trade schools for stem and business.

      But that’s a smaller factor than football. Collegefootball is a major economic factor worth billions not just for these schools but the towns they reside in. so many of these towns the entire economy isn’t the school but college football.
