You might save a handful with heroic medical intervention for a meningitis case in a child, but that’s not really something besides a specific couple of surgeons/a specific pharma company can hang their hat on to make a lot of money. It’s barbarism to not just prime their immune system to do it themselves.

And you’re right. My first instinct is that educated people are going to opt for a meningitis vaccine because they value not-mortality and therefore statistically that skews blue. It seems at odds when, at the height of attention given to covid, Trump wanted to call the mrna vaccine the Trump vaccine so it could be palletable. Presumably the calculus was such that more dead rightoids=less votes=less opportunities to plunder.

Even if you’re crashing the population because you have some super good AI & automation or whatever, you’d probably want more dead blues than reds. From that POV I can only see them being annoyed by chuds and wanting the libs to like them. That feels like shitty analysis though.

I don’t know though because it’s strictly worse to have people die of preventable illness. You’d be harming the people most likely to root for you while sparing the people who sing Hamilton.
