Yeah, thats basically the gist of it. Trump most likely wants to avoid bad press or bad optics but I could also totally see an action like this backfiring with Trump making an example out of Denmark. To basically show the other vassal states who owns them.

I will say I cant “really” predict Trump . Plus his state isnt really getting better there is a chance he just wants to be remembered (no matter how ) thats where the real fun begins but at that point we are in the realm of pure speculation.
