    Oh fuck state troopers.

My hate for state troopers burns with a thousand suns. They’re a special kind of bullshit here in Texas. They even wear goddamned cowboy hats as part of their uniform.

I’m making frowny faces right now.

What kind of road were you driving on?

I’m asking because going 15 over on a major regular two lane road is going to get you booked for speeding by any number of sheriffs or state troopers camping out on them.

It’s a two lane highway that is separated from the other direction (also two lanes) by a giant highway sized median and the conditions on it are essentially the same as the portion of the interstate which immediately precedes it

Speeding isn’t a real fucking crime, if it’s dangerous due to traffic or conditions then it’s reckless driving, if it’s just “you’re driving faster than some nerd said is okay” then fuck that

Also, like I said, cops doing the same shit they accuse me of criminal speeding for, as do >90% of drivers on this road (gee i wonder why state troopers live on this 8 mile stretch despite there being one for every 90 miles of highway in my state)

Oh yeah, that’s bullshit. Here in ohio a divided highway like that is a 60mph posted limit, though it’s somewhat a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ that you don’t go well past 70 on those kinds of roads here.

Also, like I said, cops doing the same shit they accuse me of criminal speeding for, as do >90% of drivers pon this road (gee i wonder why state troopers live on this 8 mile stretch despite there being one for every 90 miles of highway in my state)

I’d bet you that the county the stretch of road is in is making a big stink about people speeding, and or the county is using speeding tickets to fill the holes in their budget. The time I got booked for speeding (90 in a 60, on the same type of road), when I went down to the county courthouse to pay it, I noticed an awful lot of speed limit traps on my way down there.

Unless you’re in Pittsburgh lmao. If you don’t speed, you’re not matching the flow of traffic and are a hazard. S2g there’s toads here that have a posted speed limit of 35 mph but everyone goes like 60, cops included.
