I kind of fell off the boat for a bit with Scalzi’s work, as I didn’t like his most recent series (not due to his writing, the topic just didn’t interest me, and I’ve never liked lawyer-ish stuff from any author), and being a series he released several books in it over several years.

I’m not a huge fan of Kaiju as a topic. You guys who’ve read this one that won the award, do you think it’s strong enough for someone not particularly into Kaiju to like it?
