Mr. Carlson, a television personality turned podcast host whose uncritical interview with a white nationalist last year helped deepen fractures in President Trump’s coalition, mused that Saudi Arabia, a hereditary monarchy, was “kind of a weirdly free place.”

kind of a weirdly free place.

Kind of a weirdly free place.

What I am curious to find is whom exactly, Saudi Arabia is kind of weirdly free, for? Im sure he cant mean the houseworkers who get trapped into working a slave’s job for a slave’s wages? Or does he mean the men who work construction and suffered abuses, for minimal pay? It must be the 243 souls who were beheaded in Chop-Chop Square last year for the dastardly crime of ‘drug offenses’ who felt kind of weirdly free.

Houseworkers: weirdly free of the burdens of deciding what work to do, where to move, money management

Construction: freed of their passports, never have to decide when to go home, some losing limbs gained additional aerodynamism allowing more free movement.

Beheaded: forever freed of all life’s burdens and worries
