If you’re selling plasma to get by, you ain’t middle class.
“Middle Class” has always been a deliberately meaningless buzzword to separate the working class into “us” and “the poors.” To encourage the “temporarily embarrassed millionaires” sort of mentality.
I presume ‘middle class’ typically refers to the petit-bourgeois, who certainly could sell their plasma if the economy is bad enough to get by. Doesn’t make them working class, though.
