Hello everyone. I have made an addon to allow you to pick emojis when outside of hexbear! (Or really, pick emojis from any lemmy instance)
I need an icon for it (I’ve been using the lemmy icon during development) and I will upload it to Firefox addons once I have that. Please do help me and give suggestions!

I presumed that was what you meant. There are keywords, and emoji-mart supports them and will search in them. So even though the name for
is “all-cops-always-bastards,” searching for “martin” will bring it up.It does require there to be keywords. For example,
doesn’t have any, which makes it hard to find when all you’re thinking of is “eyes.” … Should ask the admins to add eyes to the keywords of that one.

It’s actually better for it to not be hexbear branded so having it installed doesn’t immediately fingerprint your browser as a hexbear user.
Is there any pack or something for whatapp?
Can you not make your own? I don’t use WhatsApp, but a lot of other stuff like Delta Chat and Matrix clients let you just import any images as a ‘sticker pack’. I once tried to import all the Hexbear emojis at once (like 2000) and crashed everything when I tried to open the menu lol. But they’re all here.

I haven’t poked at how feasible this would be, but it’d be cool if it could be bundled as a userscript so that it also works on mobile devices that support script managers.

Sick! Does it only work for lemmy and stuff like that or could I use it for whatsapp as well?
The “input” (where to get the emoji list from) has to be a lemmy instance.
The ouput is markdown, copied to your clipboard. So anywhere that accepts
![]()markdown images will work. Probably not whatsapp.
