The community development corporation plans to partner with a third party to redevelop the site and has already unveiled plans for mixed-use, mid-rise multifamily buildings with retail and surface parking.

Why the hell is there any surface parking planned? Have we not learned to just build some damn garages? Surface parking is an absolute waste of space anywhere near a business district (and in general honestly anywhere in the city.)
