I’ve got an older PC that I’m upgrading and going to turn into a NAS for my house, and the poor thing spent YEARS as the living room PC in a house full of stoners. Every surface is slightly amber and sticky. Any good cleaners I can use to remove it all without damaging the electronics?

99% isopropyl (rubbing alcohol).
Soak components and air dry completely before reassembling.
(99% dries much faster and 90% and is less likely to corrode anything. Should be available on Amazon by the gallon)
When cleaning glass salt can act as an abrasive, but its true purpose is removing water from the alcohol to get a higher % alcohol. Salt water & isopropanol don’t mix so you get a layer of 99%+ alcohol on top of the layer of salt water. But don’t use salt for electronics, just buy the 99%.
