If A zombie is dead. Completely dead why does a shot to the Brain kill them? Is the brain keeping them semi alive? Also how do they keep sharp teeth to bite you and not rotting away?

Also the head is where all the sensory organs are, plus the teeth. Even if the headshot didn’t kill it, a headless zombie is much less of a threat.
