I’m surprised we’re not back to bombing already honestly. I don’t see how the US can save face if Iran gets nuclear and I don’t see any reason why Iran wouldn’t immediately pursue nuclear as aggressively as possible after all this shit.
If I had to guess I’d say the military are shockingly low on munitions, or even important munitions, or even that Iran’s attacks on vital surveillance systems in the Middle East was too great to go back to attacking Iran again; also possible governments in the Middle East probably secretly threatened to break ties with America all of them together and pivot to China if they made the situation bad again. America can’t go to war with Iran AND attack Middle Eastern (former) allies without 1. looking extremely bad and irrational, and 2. just not a fight the government can win without consequences (for one thing the Middle East could probably just cut all fuel sales worldwide)
