Ya… I feel like China got lucky with Xi. They could’ve easily ended up with a line of revisionists, like the USSR. But if Vietnam doesn’t, I think it indicates that they set up their society correctly to account for this. I heard they study Marxism pretty hard in schools from Luna Oi, so I have some hope, though.
I hope you’re right but this actually relies on a Xi figure getting power and carrying it out.
What happens if that does not happen? Where would China be today without Xi?
I don’t think there’s a guarantee that such a figure will get to power to play that role and that concerns me.
