I think the worst would be that they were one or two steps ahead, suggesting that the Great Filter is ahead of us.
I think, Climate Change is the great filter.
I was thinking the implication would be that we have already reached the filter without understanding it, and our destruction is imminent.
If we’ve only reached it yes, but the best news would be that we just passed it
