Clearly not load-supporting, so it’s fine.
That’s a load bearing pallet
Those cup lids are solid!
What were all expecting to happen in the near future:
Working in that type of environment, I’ve seen a lift hit the racks while getting something down and the racks swayed a bit. That was bad enough. Did the construction company who built this warehouse save a lot by omitting bolts here and there? That was not how I expected it to start, I was waiting for a major impact (which still shouldn’t go far if it’s built right).
There’s a certain type of fear when you see racks move even a tiny bit.
Did I just watch someone die?
No. He was trapped for more than 8 hours, but ended up with only minor injuries. There are a bunch of articles if you look up “Shropshire warehouse collapse”.
I forgot it was cheese! Guess he could have eaten his way out?
Links for the lazy:
Ah yes, it’s clearly Shropshire, I can see it now
At least inside.
Someone did this in a local appliance manufacturing warehouse a few years back. They somehow did not catch the culprit on any cameras, so they told the entire shift that unless the person who did it owns up to it, the entire shift was fired. No one owned up to it. It was a very shitty day for a lot of innocent people.
Insane that there exist countries where that’s legal…
They were all employeed through a temp agency, specifically because it meant they could be treated as “lesser”. Less pay, less security, no benefits. Some of them had been there a very long time.
I’m pretty sure retaliation against a group for the actions of an individual is mentioned in the Geneva conventions somewhere.
That’s horrible. I bet a bunch of them knew who it was too, or had a damned good idea. I’d be fuming they didn’t own up to it.
That’s a terrifying
Cool, drive by sound.
Hooray. Now it fits. /s
