    That’s the elephant in the room that communists always conveniently overlook.

    “There never was real communism/socialism! We need to really move the means of production” - yeah and who will organize it? Who will ensure the organizers won’t just take it themselves? Because that’s what happened in every attempt.

      Worker cooperatives function just fine. They range in size from a dozen employees to tens of thousands

        The larger they get the more prone they are to becoming problematic. HOAs are a great example of this and require way fewer people before it’s an absolute shit show.

        They pay workers significantly less than capitalist competition though. Somewhat contradicts the bad capitalist exploiter narrative.

          Pay is quite variable among worker cooperatives. Some pay less than capitalist firms, some pay more. There’s a worker owned bicycle shop in my city that pays better than others that operate under a traditional business model
