Financial Support to the Bearsite
Unironically one of my points of contention is how companies “fix” their great products.
Google had something special. One of the best search engines. I’d be willing to put up with some ads because if I’m googling “where to buy a shirt”, it would be convenient for google to spit back “try Uniqlo, they’re having a sale RN.” Then of course they decide to be a chatGPT clone. Like it’s so alienating to be told “hey why don’t you be INNOVATIVE and use AI!?” and not even be given an option to say “no thanks”, and I hate to admit it, but I gave that shit a real chance and it’s garbage.
