I hope she learned not to let people call her hero era her villain era
I’m not sure what dyeing it would accomplish once it’s not attached to her head anymore, but whatever makes her happy, I guess.
I thought she was making a wig until it got to the phone detail. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah I was wondering if it was for a wig or something?
They dye the rest of the hair still attached…
Shaved one side and dyed the rest purple over here. And I do mean the rest.
Jells, i’m a redhead and would have to bleach the hell out of it so i never went beyond highlights.
Now the white’s creeping in i’m waiting for the ratio to tip so i can go ham
With nothing but respect (and not trying to change your mind), red hair when it goes a little white is a FIERCE look, but why wait if you want to bleach it?
I hate the smell and feel of bleach. I’m asd with smell as my RAEG trigger.
I feel this in my AuDHD soul
I definitely do not have ADHD. Partner does though! And a big trigger for him is sound.
Oooohhh same. Smell too though but that might be the autism part idk.
Honestly we ping all over the palace. ASD mate gets fussy about light levels and fluorescents. I dislike harsh lighting and polyester, but smells will instaraeg me. Partner trips on sounds. Neice (audhd) loses it at loud sounds, asd nephew hates certain tactile sensations and tastes. Everyone has their “i don’t like it”, neurodivergents just have a thinner layer of tolerance.
Ohhh I gotcha, I had it backwards like you wwre waiting to use the bleach not waiting for a lighter canvas to colour :'D
Hell yeah, you’ll have a blank canvas soon.
And I do mean the rest.
Ohhh la la!
SACREBLUE!
No, purple
Abuse, and going into a safe-haven near the same area? Wouldn’t be a first
Hahaha it’s so common! I shaved my head after my divorce :D
My Mom shaved her head on het wedding day, surprising everyone including my Dad. She never told me more than " 'cause I wanted to" :D
Your mom is a badass. That’s sick haha
I cut off all my hair 3 years before my divorce, lol. I think half of my brain was shouting at the other half and playing charades with my body to try to get the message across.
The body keeps the score in many, many ways
Whacked it short and dyed it teal. XD
Ohh teal! Such a cool hair color!

I don’t miss washing my hair in cold water to keep the colors vibrant, that’s for sure haha

I use this line of products to stop the fade. I’ve done both red and purple and I’m planning on doing teal in a few months. I only wash my hair once a week so I use this every other wash or so. When I go back to the salon it’s because I need the roots lightened, not because the color looks faded
Y’all seem like knowledgeable folk, so might as well ask here. Is there any way to get vibrant, colorful hair without bleaching? My hair is naturally brown and bleaching destroys it too much.
Yes! …ish. You can try lightening it a little. You don’t have to go for a full peroxide bleach. I have dark blonde hair and use arctic fox dyes which have great coverage. I can’t get a bright colour because my hair isn’t light enough, but it is vibrant. You could still do purples and reds really well.
Tips I learned from hairstylists: Use a clarifying shampoo and no conditioner before dying, and wrap your head in a plastic bag after applying the dye. The warmth of your head and moisture trapped under the bag help the dye sink in.
Then, I mix some leftover dye with my conditioner, let it sit for five minutes every time I shower, and rinse with cold water - this helps the colour last longer.
For everything else, I have wigs. You don’t need to spend a lot on a wig for a good, comfortable fit. My best one I got used from a drag queen for $20 and it’s fabulous. I like being able to switch up my style without destroying my hair.
My hair is dark brown so it takes a good bit of lightening for vibrant color. I go to a stylist who specializes in fantasy hair color and she is knowledgable about lightening it without damaging it. She’ll even tell you that she’ll get you as close to what you want as possible but she’s going to work with what your hair can do and she isn’t going to push it too far just to get the exact shade of color. From what I can tell with anything that’s not bleach will only lighten a little bit, which isn’t ideal for vibrant color but will soften the brown
Maybe she committed a crime and is going into hiding
Speaking from experience this is a thing and having been the cause of this at least once this is usually men that do it.
You’ll find black women who shave their heads can be to clean themselves from a bad relationship.
