        Some users use forum signatures of various kinds, and one user has one based on, I think, flags given on some platforms to accounts accused of potentially being bot accounts, and now people are just riffing on that. I think that’s where it comes from but it doesn’t particularly mean anything, it’s just a forum moderation joke.

          Yep, it’s this. I saw a kitty on here who had its as basically this reading “cat”, I liked the joke, but I’ve always been more of a teddy bear than a classic “catgirl”, and this is “the commie bear website”, so I changed it up a bit. I’m not surprised others are also riffing on “suspected cat”.
