Love the idea of that lending library, and the intergenerational units.
Oh, this is a cool idea. One of the things I value about living in the suburbs is that I can tell my kids to go outside and play with their friends (I hate scheded play dates). This complex totally makes that possible in an urban environment - and I love that. Also, 3+ beds are a must for families.
I know, right! It removes all the fun of spontaneous play for our kiddos, and is incredibly hard on the parents. I have a friend who is overwhelmed by the urban parenting, which includes constant play dates, school activities, and entertaining her kids in a tiny enclosed space. Women should probably be in charge of ur an housing going forward…

I can’t blame them, it is all consuming! I took a stance pretty early on that I simply didn’t have the capacity to sign up for every single playdate, activity, etc. There’s still a lot to juggle, but putting those boundaries down really helped.
It would be so nice to live in a place like this where we could share the burden! Rotating who takes the kids to swim lessons, whose hosting the birthday parties, send the kids out to play together. I love that!

Ugh same here. I tried really hard, but it’s so awkward to make small talk with other parents.
