C can be replaced with K or S, Q is KW, J should make the second sound in J and J should be DJ, X is KS

      So…

      Ksylofone?

Kello, or Kiao? Or, maybe Sello or Siao?

      Djif? 😅😶‍🌫️

p.s. Removing a letter kinda disqualifies it from being included in the requested “upgrade” solutions. 🖖🏼

        Tshello and tshao

And gif would stay gif of course

Although maybe we need s standalone letter for sh now, so c could be that. Tcello, or tciao

    The &¹, obviously. It’s not a sound, nor a letter, it’s a clause coupler².

That said, do you mean in English? Or all of the Futhorc+Latin derivatives?

¹ which gets its name from “'and, per se, ‘and’”.

    ² aka a “coordinating conjunction”.

            Oh, that makes sense. 😅

And, thanks! That’s exactly what I was aiming for.

TBF, I can’t seem to go very long w/o parentheses, brackets, etc., and it’s about time I take the reins back on these ramblin’ habits o’ mine. 🧏🏼‍♂️

p.s. You didn’t even comment on the typo? Too kind.
