I put myself in other people’s shoes all the time. It’s the most effective way of not being a giant prick.
Doesn’t seem like the type of thing that Nixon would be doing…
empathy is an important skill for a sociopath. You don’t follow those feelings; you just exploit them.
Yeah, this isn’t really a tell on Nixon so much as it’s a tell on Kissinger and Haldeman being sociopaths.
Still weird thinking of Nixon as the best person in the room.
There’s an incredible(in the sense of unbelievable) 6-part Behind the Bastards series on Kissinger. It is probable that he was always the worst person in any room he ever entered. I’d known he was shitty, but the depth of that man’s depravity and the extent of his influence are fucking wild.
I’ve heard of that particular podcast before, and I haven’t heard anything new about Kissinger since the turn of the century, but I already thought he was a pretty shitty guy. Hard to imagine thinking worse of him.
Pondering our existence as the other is one of the most human things we can do.
I’d say this is edited but if not where from?
I don’t know if this snippet is real or not, but if it is I’d assume https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nixon_White_House_tapes
I don’t know about you but I saw it on the internet
I’m 99% sure it’s edited
hehe
But … at least once?
