I would have expected better ratings on launch. Not like I’m interested in this game, but the original was a ton of fun when I was a kid.

I guess it’s around 4 games since the end of the 90s. So there definitely aren’t many of them or that heavily marketed (that I’m aware of ) :).
You clearly never had the privilege of playing one of these. Man, I still think about it like, 26 years later.
Go to the Netherlands. Video Game Museum has a pair, and you can play for as long as you want for the entry ticket, no coins needed.
