Cowbee once tried to explain to me that authoritarianism doesnt exist.

Cowbee generates propaganda, and propaganda only.

Rational discourse is incompatible with their mission, and is therefore absent.

I managed to convince them that China has a 2 class system after asking them to explain to me how the hukou system works lol

Acknowledging authoritarianism would undercut the peoples liberation narrative.

Thing is, authoritarianism isn’t inherently bad, it is just a paychological spectrum. Authoritarians seek order. Theyre the kind of person that goes out of their way to pick up litter because littering is bad. They’re also the kind of person that follows orders, for good and for bad.

Authoritarianism is in fact, inherently bad. By definition, they are unopposed, and there is no formal law abiding way to unseat a dictator, or oppose poor decision making.

Spectrum my ass. You could moo about benign dictatorship or something, but won’t be able to explain a legal procedure to get an authoritarian who loses mental capacity or is otherwise incompetent removed.

Not removable from power is inherently bad.

You’re confusing an individual social dominator with authoritarian tendencies with one third of the population.

You’re confusing yourself with someone who knows what they’re talking about.

Interestingly enough, I think you might score pretty high for authoritarianism.

Interestingly to yourself. That sort of thing happens when you’re trapped inside your own iamverysmart bubble.

Spirited attempt at a zinger though, so have a head pat.

It’s not a zinger lol. Just an observation. Like I said, having a highly authoritarian personality isn’t a bad thing, it’s like having red hair. Except more common, since a third of any given population scores high for authoritarianism.

Tendency to follow established authority, tendency towards aggression when faced with new experiences/ideas, tendency to perceive neutral things as an attack on yourself, etc. its interesting. There’s a lot of research on the topic.
